- about economic club texas
The Economic Club of Texas is an independent, membership-based forum that brings together leaders from across the state’s investment, business, academic, and policy communities. The Club is dedicated to thoughtful discussion of the issues that shape capital formation, economic growth, and innovation in Texas and beyond.
Through high-quality programming and a curated membership, the Economic Club of Texas provides a setting where decision-makers can exchange perspectives, test ideas, and build long-term relationships in a confidential, off-the-record environment.
What We Do
The Club’s programming is designed to balance marquee events with small-room conversations that encourage genuine dialogue:
Distinguished Speaker Series: In-depth conversations with CEOs, CIOs, policymakers, and thought leaders on topics of strategic importance to Texas and global markets.
City Events (Austin & Dallas): Regular gatherings that highlight regional opportunities, local entrepreneurs, and institutional investors across Texas.
Member Roundtables: Small, curated discussions that allow members to compare notes on investment themes, capital flows, risk management, and firm-building.
Sector & Strategy Sessions: Focused forums on areas such as public equities, private credit, real assets, venture capital, and family office governance.
Community & Networking Receptions: Informal events that reinforce the Club’s relationship-driven culture and create space for new connections.

Our Principles
The Economic Club of Texas operates under a set of guiding principles:
Nonpartisan, Independent, and Commercially Neutral: The Club does not advocate for specific policies, candidates, or products. Our role is to provide a trusted forum where members and guests can explore ideas freely.
Respect for Diverse Viewpoints: We welcome a broad range of perspectives and expect discussions to be rigorous, candid, and respectful.
Confidentiality and Trust: Many events are held off the record to encourage open dialogue and the sharing of hard-earned experience and judgment.
Texas-first, Globally Connected: While our focus is on the Texas financial community, our conversations and relationships are global in reach.
