The Economic Club of Texas hosted its 2Q26 Austin Founders Forum, featuring three of Austin's leading founders, on Monday, April 27th from 5-8pm located at 2801 Via Fortuna, Austin, TX 78746 (the Terrace office complex, ground floor event space).

Umbra and Base are unicorns (>$1bn valuations), and Setpoint is the third nine-figure startup Ben has built.
The panel will be moderated by Santiago Iturbe. Santiago is a VC partner at Mithril and a co-founder of what is now the Economic Club of Texas.
Co-Founder and President of Umbra
Gabe Dominocielo is a co-founder and President of Umbra, a leading aerospace and satellite intelligence company, known for building one of the most advanced commercial radar imaging constellations. He brings a rare blend of entrepreneurial grit, contrarian thinking, and real-world execution experience across defense, space technology, and high-growth startups.
Co-Founder & COO of Base Power
Justin Lopas is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Base Power, an energy technology company transforming the electric grid through distributed home battery systems. With prior experience at SpaceX and Anduril Industries, he brings deep expertise in manufacturing, operations, and scaling complex hardware systems.
Co-Founder & President of Setpoint
Ben Rubenstein is a serial entrepreneur and operator with a track record of building and scaling high-growth technology companies. He is currently the Co-Founder and President of Setpoint, a fintech platform transforming asset-backed lending through capital and technology innovation. Prior to Setpoint, Ben served as Chief Revenue Officer at Realtor.com following the acquisition of Opcity, a real estate technology company he co-founded and scaled to over 500 employees and 100,000 agents. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Yodle, a pioneering digital marketing platform for small businesses, growing it to more than 1,500 employees and tens of thousands of customers before its successful acquisition.
